A walk-in cooler is an insulated, refrigerated room used to store perishable goods at scale, typically between 35 and 45 degrees Fahrenheit. Restaurants, hospitals, warehouses, grocery stores, and catering operations rely on walk-in coolers because they hold far more inventory than standard refrigeration units, extend product shelf life, and run more energy-efficiently than a bank of standalone units.

Should I Choose a Walk-In Cooler With or Without a Floor?

A floored cooler includes a built-in insulated floor panel and is the right choice when the installation site doesn't already have a suitable concrete slab, or when the cooler needs to support foot traffic or carts. A floorless cooler installs directly onto an existing floor, which works well when that floor is already level, insulated, and rated for the load. Our coolers with floors have aluminum diamond plates.

What Size Walk-In Cooler Do I Need?

Compact units, such as an 8' x 8' x 8'H cooler with floor, suit smaller operations with limited storage needs and tighter floor space. Larger formats, like a 12' x 20' x 8'H cooler with floor, are best for operations holding higher volumes of perishable inventory. Both can be customized with vinyl curtains, door swing direction, and your choice of condenser, evaporator, and warranty terms.
