Barr, Inc. is seeking a candidate to help assist with loading/unloading trucks, refurbishing and re-assembling commercial coolers/freezers. This position includes the use of a forklift, forklift experience is a must. Carpentry and sheet metal experience is a plus. This position requires the employee to complete projects unsupervised, work in a team environment, and have the ability to solve problems and think ahead. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Job is both indoors and outdoors and requires the ability to lift 50lbs. Hours are Monday – Thursday 7:30am-4:15pm and Friday 7:30am-3:00pm.
As we continue our aggressive growth as the world’s leader in commercial refrigeration, we are looking for candidates who are excited about new challenges and growth, high income potential and great benefits. Our Refrigeration Technicians are responsible for refurbishing used commercial refrigeration equipment including: condensing units, condensers, evaporators, chillers and compressor racks. Refurbishing is completed to Barr’s specifications prior to shipping to the customer. All work is done in house in a heated and air conditioned shop. All tools are furnished by company. No travel or on-call status.
Travel with our team throughout the United States to complete on-site inspections, auctions and leading a team for the removal/rigging of commercial walk-in coolers, freezers and the mechanical refrigeration systems. Must have good communication skills for communicating directly with sellers when on-site and with supervisor. Must have problem solving skills and pay attention to detail. The road crew averages 10 hour days and may be on the road for up to 3 weeks at a time, including weekends. Barr, Inc. will provide the necessary training on equipment and all areas of safety. All tools, trucks/trailers and hotel rooms are covered by Barr, Inc.
